How it adapts

Two stages that find your level

The test doesn't ask everyone the same questions. It calibrates first, then meets you where you are.

  1. 1 · Calibration

    A short opening stage gauges roughly where you sit, so the test can tune itself before it commits.

  2. 2 · Adaptation

    From your emerging level, each item's difficulty is selected to be informative — harder items answered well count for more than easy ones.

How scoring works

From answers to a readiness score

No hidden magic — here is the exact path from an individual answer to your final band.

Quality per item

Each answer is scored 0–3 for quality and mapped onto the two dimensions it exercises.

Weighted by difficulty

Scores are weighted by the item's difficulty tier, so demonstrated mastery on hard items carries more.

Readiness = mean of dimensions

Your overall readiness is the mean across the eight dimensions, then placed into a band.

What it is not

A compass, not a verdict

Being honest about the limits is part of the methodology. Skill DNA is directional — here's what it should not be used for.

  • Not a certification — completing it does not award a credential.
  • Not a hiring instrument — it isn't designed or validated for employment decisions.
  • A directional diagnostic — its job is to sequence your learning, not to judge you.
